Trade Reference

The reference concerning the credit worthiness of a trader given by another member of the same trade is called trade reference.

If a firm wishes to purchase goods on credit from suppliers, the suppliers will usually ask for a trade reference from another’s member of the same trade to create confidence to make trade credit.
